Arena Armeec Sofia is an indoor arena located in Sofia, Bulgaria. It has a seating capacity between 12,410 and 19,000 spectators depending on its use. It was originally called Arena Sofia before the insurance company 'Armeets' won the rights to the name until 2017. One major concern that has come forward after the opening of the arena is the lack of parking space on particularly busy events - the facilities can accommodate only 1200 vehicles, with the option to close one of the lanes of nearby "Asen Yordanov" boulevard to increase it to 2000.
It hosts a total of 30 sports, including basketball, volleyball, handball, wrestling, weightlifting, fencing and gymnastics competitions as well as concerts. The first major concert in the arena was held by Jean Michel Jarre, followed by artists Sade and Tom Jones.
The arena will host the Final Round of the 2012 FIVB World League, as well as the European qualification tournament for the 2012 Summer Olympics. On the 17 December 2011 it will host the final event in the 2011 Freestyle Motocross calendar in Europe called 'Night of the Jumps'.
